By virtually all measures, the rural counties of Appalachia in Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia are among the least healthy in the nation.  Areas of particular concern include poor rankings in obesity, cancer deaths, infant mortality, cardiovascular deaths, diabetes complications, tobacco use and prescription drug abuse.

Join us for the State Street Project: Health Across Borders on Thursday, June 12 at 9:30 a.m. to learn ways we can work together in our communities and across borders to increase public awareness, drive health-related policies and coordinate collective and personal action!

The State Street Project: Health Across Borders will be held at the Foundation Event Center, 620 State Street, 2nd floor, in downtown Bristol. A complimentary lunch will be provided and the meeting will conclude at 1 p.m.
